Intel 82567lm Driver For Mac
Hi, trying to install latest driver for my Network Adapter & I must be doing something wrong. Found at Intel this driver which appears to be most current = Driver Date = 2/5/2016, Driver version = 7.6.1 (latest) Downloaded em-7.6.1.tar.gz & I used 7-Zip to Extract Here which created a file name of em-7.6.1.tar, then used 7-Zip again to Extract Here (or untar) to create em-7.6.1. However all that exists in the newly created em-7.6.1 folder is an src file & a couple of readme's. In other words there is no Application or.exe as I would expect to see in a driver install. I did from Device Manger try to update the driver by browsing to the src file & was told I already had the best driver installed. Currently the driver I have installed is dated 6/25/12, version 10.1.10.1 & is provided by Microsoft. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Did I unzip/untar inappropriately? Thank you, richie. So I tried to install a Windows 7 compatible version of the driver software = ProWin64.exe (version 20.7).
The installer tells me No Intel adapters are present on this computer. That is the same msg the Intel Driver Update Utility gave me. I can see quite clearly in the Device Manger the Network Adapter is Intel(R) 82567LF-2 Gigabit Network Controller?? When I installed PROWin64 ver 20.1 under Windows 7 it went in fine.
In fact I ran ver 20.1 again just now & it too said No Intel Adapters. Does Windows 10 not recognize my Intel Network Adapter? It must because if I uninstall it & reboot Windows immediately re-installs a driver for that adapter. This PC originally came with Windows Vista & the OEM/Dell driver download is very old = 2008.

The Dell driver download R200392 also generated - No Intel Network Connections found on this Computer. No Drivers were installed. Curious Perhaps needs to be run in compatibility mode?

Thus I have been trying to locate an Intel driver update. Suppose I should post to the BSOD section but kinda tired of always asking for help & I have been attempting to learn how to analyze dumps.

I'm trying to copy an image of a Dell Latitude E6400 using Symantec Drive Mapping Boot Package. I keeping getting an error, The protocol manager reported an incomplete binding. I found a MS KB article which says the cause of this message may be due to an incorrect NDIS Network Interface Card (NIC) driver loaded in the CONFIG.SYS file, incorrect network card configuration (PROTOCOL.INI), or hardware problem(s). The driver is an Intel 82567LM Gigabit Ethernet Controller but the DOS driver i used is an Intel PRO100/1000 which is suppose to be the DOS version of that driver. Any help is appreciated.
Normally dell has them in the drivers that you download from their site; however, you need to look for the ODI Driver to get it working properly. Alternately, you can go to support.intel.com and search from there, specifically here:! Try the ones labeled 'Network Adapter Drivers for Netware. 6.5' and see if that works for you. Since DOS is no longer really 'supported' anywhere, old NDIS or ODI drivers are what you're looking for, you'd put the respective drivers in the config.sys and autoexec.bat files, and sometimes you need the protocol.ini if the driver doesn't come with it. Hope this helps! I created a drive mapping boot package using the NDIS2 driver that came in the intel PRONWAREv315 download. After loading all the boot files, I got this message, The requester service could not be started, would you like to start it.
I chose Yes and I got to the login for network drive. I entered my credentials but then I got this message, Error 67 The Network name can not be found and Symantec Ghost GUI started. It didn't map the network drive. I'm using Symantec Ghost Solution Suite v2.5 and I recently upgraded to it from v2.0.1.
I also redownloaded the network adapter driver from Dell and created a package using the NDIS2 driver that came in that download. It was a no go, I got the original message, The protocol manager reported an incomplete binding. I'm not sure if it's an issue of an incorrect network adapter driver or something with the new version of Ghost but for now I copied the image to an external usb hard drive. I appreciate your help still.
