I had the same issue with my Asus S400CA. I solved the problem by going into Device Manager (Windows + X followed by choosing'Device Manager'), expand 'Mice and other pointing devices', Right-click on whatever touchpad is listed (in my case it was an Elan device, choose 'Update driver software', then left-click 'Browse my computer for driver software', then left-click 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer', and finally choose the 'Asus Touchpad' from the list of drivers instead of the existing (in my case the Elan Input device). That worked for me. I had the same issue with my Asus S400CA. I tried this and it didn't work for me BUT I then repeated but chose the 'Search automatically for updated driver software' option i.e. After left clicking 'Update driver software' and this found an update for the Elan device. Choosing to install this has solved the scrolling issue. Will check out multigesture over time and see if this is also working now.
